About the Role

Start your technical career with Innotec in a full-time paid apprenticeship program. You'll earn a paycheck while learning the skills needed to become an Automation & Controls Technician through hands-on experience, mentorship, and company-paid coursework at Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC). This program is designed for individuals who enjoy working with technology, solving problems, and learning how things work—no four-year degree required.

What You'll Learn

• Technical troubleshooting and problem solving

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting automated equipment
• Support machinery installations and process improvements
• Participate in preventive maintenance activities
• Learn to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Work alongside experienced technicians and engineers
• Complete apprenticeship coursework and training requirements
• Apply new skills in a real manufacturing environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in technology
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
• Commitment to completing apprenticeship coursework

• Automotive, mechanical, electrical, or technical hobbies
• Vocational or technical education experience
