About the role
The Automation Controls Engineer III is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems in a manufacturing environment. This role requires a deep understanding of control systems, PLC programming, and automation technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new automation systems based on customer requirements and technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain existing automation systems to ensure they meet production needs and are up-to-date with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure successful system integration and operation.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation systems during operations.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and perform necessary repairs to keep systems running efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens).
- Experience with industrial automation systems and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Experience with SCADA systems and HMI interfaces.
