About the role

The Automation Controls Engineer III is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems in a manufacturing environment. This role requires a deep understanding of control systems, PLC programming, and automation technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new automation systems based on customer requirements and technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain existing automation systems to ensure they meet production needs and are up-to-date with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure successful system integration and operation.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation systems during operations.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and perform necessary repairs to keep systems running efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens).
  • Experience with industrial automation systems and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to automation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with SCADA systems and HMI interfaces.

  • Advanced knowledge of automation principles and practices.
  • Experience with robotics and motion control systems.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
