Automation Controls Co-Op
About the role
The Automation Controls Co Op position for student in the chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering or computer science fields at SI Group. The position provides an opportunity for students to gain valuable work experience at a chemical production facility in a part-time capacity while finishing their education. Successful applicants will be mentored by experienced engineers in their field on assignments ranging from small capital projects to supporting day-to-day activities. In addition to specific assigned projects/tasks, the student will have the opportunity to spend time interacting with and/or shadowing various functions on site (production, logistics, lab, maintenance). Responsibilities
- Update AspenOne Process Explorer Graphics and Documentation: convert existing and develop new process graphics using Aspen One Process Explorer.
- Convert existing OSI Pi calculation and reports using AspenCalc, SQL++ and Reporting tools.
- Opportunity to learn about chemical processes, MS Office document skills, Aspen Historian Software, SQL Programming and control systems graphics.
- Process and Control System Simulation Setup/Test: learn and gain experience in setting up/testing controls simulation systems, server virtualization
