Summary Of Position

The Automation Applications Engineer involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation systems, with a focus on machine and computer vision technologies. The Automation Applications Engineer will collaborate directly with clients to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of automated solutions. The Automation Applications Engineer will provide support to the Automation Engineering team.

Essential Functions

  • Installation and Configuration
  • Design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, or modification of computer systems or programs
  • Install and configure automation systems, with an emphasis on machine vision technologies and integration with AWS Machine Learning or similar platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure proper setup and alignment with project specifications

Machine Vision And Machine Learning Expertise

  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of machine vision systems to enhance automation capabilities
  • Implement and optimize machine vision algorithms for quality inspection and process control
  • Apply experience in AWS Machine Learning or similar environments to enhance automation intelligence

Maintenance And Repair

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on automation equipment, including machine vision and machine learning components
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose problems, and perform necessary repairs

Testing And Quality Assurance

  • Perform thorough testing of automation systems, focusing on machine vision accuracy, machine learning model performance, and overall system efficiency
  • Implement quality assurance measures to guarantee reliable and efficient system performance

Client Interaction

  • Interact with clients to understand their automation, machine vision, and machine learning requirements and provide technical support

Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of automation installations, configurations, machine vision settings, and machine learning models
  • Create detailed reports on troubleshooting procedures and resolutions

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during installation, maintenance, and repair activities
