Automation and Process Control Engineer
About the role
The Kapton® team is seeking an Automation & Process Control Engineer at the Circleville, Ohio facility. This role will work with a diverse team of engineers, operators, and mechanics to provide technical expertise and strategic direction to improve our competitive advantage for the manufacturing of Kapton® Polyimide Films.
Responsibilities
- Lead challenging and exciting programs geared towards improving reliability, capacity, and process efficiency.
- Optimize the asset’s control systems.
- Provide day-to-day support as plant operations require.
- Work to upgrade processes and machines that may range from incremental improvements to major technology changes.
- Improve process efficiency, quality, process safety, yield, plant capacity and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
- 1 year of process control engineering experience in manufacturing
- PREFERRED: Experience in web-handling technology
- DCS and PLC troubleshooting and upgrade experience (software and hardware)
- PROVEN: Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve process and equipment issues
- WORKING KNOWLEDGE: Of key PSM Technology elements (PHA, Process Technology, MOC-Technology, RAGAGEP, etc.)
- ABLE TO WORK EFFECTIVELY: In a team-based environment
- STRONG INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Able to work effectively both independently and within teams
- Able to NETWORK ACROSS SITE AND CORPORATE RESOURCES: To gain and share technical knowledge
Qualifications

- 1 year of process control engineering experience in manufacturing
- PREFERRED: Experience in web-handling technology

- PROVEN: Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve process and equipment issues
- WORKING KNOWLEDGE: Of key PSM Technology elements (PHA, Process Technology, MOC-Technology, RAGAGEP, etc.)
