About the role

The Kapton® team is seeking an Automation & Process Control Engineer at the Circleville, Ohio facility. This role will work with a diverse team of engineers, operators, and mechanics to provide technical expertise and strategic direction to improve our competitive advantage for the manufacturing of Kapton® Polyimide Films.

Responsibilities

  • Lead challenging and exciting programs geared towards improving reliability, capacity, and process efficiency.
  • Optimize the asset’s control systems.
  • Provide day-to-day support as plant operations require.
  • Work to upgrade processes and machines that may range from incremental improvements to major technology changes.
  • Improve process efficiency, quality, process safety, yield, plant capacity and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
  • 1 year of process control engineering experience in manufacturing
  • PREFERRED: Experience in web-handling technology
  • DCS and PLC troubleshooting and upgrade experience (software and hardware)
  • PROVEN: Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve process and equipment issues
  • WORKING KNOWLEDGE: Of key PSM Technology elements (PHA, Process Technology, MOC-Technology, RAGAGEP, etc.)
  • ABLE TO WORK EFFECTIVELY: In a team-based environment
  • STRONG INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Able to work effectively both independently and within teams
  • Able to NETWORK ACROSS SITE AND CORPORATE RESOURCES: To gain and share technical knowledge
