Automatic Door Install Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform installation or service work as designated in a profitable and proper manner.
• Record productive time versus travel time.
• Perform preventive maintenance work in accordance with service programs for specific customers.
• Maintain accurate work records and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedures.
• Stay updated on all changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standard as notified through published communications.
• Maintain manuals and all details up-to-date as changes are advised.
• Keep company vehicles, tools, and other property in proper condition.
• Present a neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain adequate parts inventory for service vehicles; keep inventory logs.
• Test equipment before leaving the job site; perform safety checks.
• Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
• Assist and instruct others in install/service methods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver's license without restrictions.
• Ability to lift 75-100 lbs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Sitting while driving for periods of time up to 2 hours but not limited to.
• Standing on concrete for periods of time up to 8 hours but not limited to.
• Occasional stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting spine.
• Vision not limited to near, far, or colors.
• Ability to work in various climates.
• Flexible work schedule is a must with the ability to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

• Associates Degree in related fields such as electrical, mechanical, or industrial.
• Experience in the construction industry or electrical field.
• Experience servicing automated doors, glazing, installing glass, installing door frames, reading blueprints, and AAADM Certification.

Compensation

The expected Base Hourly Range: $25.00-$30.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
