Autoclave Operator (3pm-11:30pm)

About the role

This entry-level position is a member of the Autoclave area under the Inspection Department, which comprises a portion of the Manufacturing Team. The Autoclave Operator is expected to execute required responsibilities and tasks using current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) according to approved SOPs to support the overall mission of the Manufacturing Team.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trays and carts into sterilizers.
• Operate steam sterilizers (autoclaves).
• Monitor recording devices and initiate corrective action.
• Record data onto charts, batch records, and logbooks.
• Transport product.
• Clean and perform maintenance checks on sterilizers according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform housekeeping duties in and around Autoclave areas.
• Operate autoclaves according to SOP.
• Perform other related duties as requested by lead or supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Ability to read documents in Standard English such as Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance schedules, and operating manuals.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Physical Environment and Requirements

• Physically able to wear cleanroom/protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, respirators, and protective gloves.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time while fulfilling job duties.

Pay

The expected hourly rate for this position is $20.55. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, education, knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors.
