AutoCAD Technician

Responsibilities

• Aid in the preparation and updating of engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Support design staff with drafting tasks for civil engineering, land development, utility, and infrastructure projects.
• Make revisions to drawings based on redlines and feedback from engineers and project managers.
• Absorb and maintain electronic project files and CAD libraries.
• Integrate field data, sketches, and markups into CAD drawings under supervision.
• Offer general drafting support to engineering and design teams as needed.
• Adhere to company CAD standards and drafting best practices through on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; willingness to learn and improve skills is essential.
• Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong interest in civil engineering drafting and design.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering sketches and markups.
• Basic PC skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and CAD software.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude in a team environment.
• Ability to take direction, ask questions, and manage assigned tasks.
