AUTOCAD DRAFTSMAN

Requirements

• Associates Degree in related field (required).
• Associates Degree in related field with comprehensive understanding of electrical installations. (Preferred)
• Must be able to read and interpret engineered documents.
• Must be proficient in the creation of drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Must be able to conduct complex calculations using basic Trigonometry and Algebra.
• Must understand basic Microsoft Office Operating Systems.
• Must be proficient at AutoCAD and Revit MEP in their current version.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review engineered blueprints and produce pre-construction planning documents to enable expedient installation of construction equipment.
• Review bid documents to produce high-quality renderings of proposed work areas.
• Review existing drawings to create precise layout drawings using Trimble RTS.
• Produce as-built drawings of work for owner at completion of project.
• Cookordinate projects with project manager using established methods.
• Construct shop drawings that facilitate pre-fabrication of construction equipment.
• Develop standards/methods that will continually improve the drawing process.

Working Conditions

• General office environment.
• Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.
• The working environment is generally favorable.
• Lights and temperatures are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
• Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Standards of Performance

• Good internal and external customer satisfaction – zero complaints.
• Production of high-quality, accurate drawings.
• Drawings completed in a timely manner to maximize benefit to the projects.
• Good work attendance.
