Auto Service Representative Outside - Albany, NY

About the role

This is a field appraiser position, candidate will be required to live between Putnam and Albany County, New York.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and timely complete assigned auto damage appraisals
• Operate within claim standards to provide the most economical means of repair or replacement
• Work to establish Total Loss values
• Triage and utilize multiple estimating channel options quickly and efficiently in the assigned territory
• Maintain training, quality standards and customer service requirements
• Work on the reinspection of repaired vehicles and the assessment of repair costs
• Absess indemnity and expense exposure
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Operate within a team environment
• Continuous self-development

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of prior damage estimating experience and auto claim handling experience highly preferred
• Experience/background working in a prior service industry is a plus!
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers building trust and credibility
• Operate with integrity at all times to allow for trusted credible client interactions
• Self-motivated and able to keep on task with minimal direct supervision
• Flexibility to travel when required to attend meetings and catastrophe duty
• Must hold or be willing to acquire the applicable state's adjuster's license as required by the state

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $62,480 - $93,720
