Auto Glass Tech (Johnson City)

About the role

Auto Glass Technicians for Glass America replace broken or pitted windshields and window glass in motor vehicles, performing installations in-shop or on a mobile basis.

Responsibilities

• Install auto glass and related products using proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality service.
• Complete and submit required paperwork to the appropriate person or location.
• Maintain a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
• Perform auto glass repairs as needed.
• Load glass in the truck as required.
• Immediately report any installation problems or incidents/accidents to the Glass Manager.
• Maintain high levels of quality control and excellence in customer service.
• Ensure all equipment is operating properly.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Maintain a good rapport with supervisors and co-workers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 4-6 years of related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to stand for long periods, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl during glass installation.
• Ability to use hands efficiently in handling glass and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Mechanical aptitude and skill to operate hand and power tools.
