Entry-level role for a mechanically inclined individual who performs basic automotive services—mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs, oil changes, vehicle inspections—and maintains clean, safe work areas. May advise and sell customers on recommended services.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair basic automotive systems: brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, and electrical
- Participate in formal training to stay current with automotive technology
- Change engine oil and filters
- Install and service tires
- Install batteries and test starting/charging systems
- Replace headlights and small bulbs
- Repair flat tires
- Install wiper blades
- Stock and unload tires
- Assist other technicians with technical tasks
- Report mechanical issues to management promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized shop
- Follow all company policies, safety, and environmental rules
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Passion for an automotive technician career
- Eagerness to learn and competitive drive
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check
Physical Demands
- Extensive standing, walking, pushing, and reaching
- Full range of motion for bending, stooping, and reaching
- Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs
- Frequent lifting of equipment over 100 pounds
- Exposure to weather, chemicals, odors, dirt, dust, and moderate noise

Pay
$12.10 to $19.80 per hour based on experience
