Auto Finance Credit Manager

Description Summary: The Auto Finance Regional Area Credit Manager oversees all credit operations for auto dealer originated (indirect) consumer loans for multiple geographic markets. Duties And Responsibilities Oversees all credit decisions, and personally handles the most complex loans. Develops and maintains business in the market through dealer relations and customer service, and monitors portfolio compliance and risk. Ensures all staff are properly trained, and that all policies/procedures and regulations are complied with. Makes recommendations for policy changes to improve effectiveness. Dealer Management – develops and maintains business in the market territories through dealer relations and customer service.Responsible for the approval, denial and negotiation of consumer auto credit applications originated through auto dealers for specific geographic markets. Oversees all credit decisions for assigned markets. Responsible for monitoring portfolio compliance and risk. Ensures all staff are properly trained and that all policies/procedures and regulations are in compliance. Makes recommendations for policy changes to improve effectiveness.Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree5+ years of related experience Preferred Qualifications Local Dealer knowledge and relationshipsExperience working with multiple dealership and dealer groupsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong sales and negotiation skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPointPrime Auto underwriting experienceDemonstrate a professional, personable and friendly communication style with a focus on customer service and an ability to interact with all levels of individuals on the phone and in personEnjoy working independently and effectively in a deadline-driven, multi-task environment, with organization and attention to detail being imperative Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay) Yes Workplace Type Office Our Approach to Office Workplace Type Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
