Auto-Cell Operator (2nd Shift)

About the Role

Operate all equipment efficiently in the blasting of metal castings, including turbine components or castings of comparable weight and size (approximately 5 to 75 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Perform 90 Grit and 60 Grit Sand blast by loading and unloading parts in cabinets.
• Perform hand blast on castings.
• Ensure visual acceptance of castings and pass inspection tests.
• Record all work performed daily, including correct distribution of work time by operational codes.
• Follow number routing card in sequence.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area while adhering to all safety rules.
• Foster a positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Operate lifting equipment for parts in excess of 35 lbs.
• Perform other duties as specified by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality and quantity.
• Comfortable using a team approach to problem-solving.
• Strong sense of urgency with the ability to work independently.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment.
