Auto Body Technician - Lincoln

About the role

Levander's Body Shop of Lincoln is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team in a new, entirely A/C climate-controlled collision center. We are a fast-growing collision repair shop looking for a team player eager to contribute to our success. Hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace damaged body parts and vehicle bodies according to industry specifications and time standards.
• Repair vehicles per estimate and in line with manufacturer standards.
• Check parts against estimate to ensure proper parts are ordered and received.
• Prepare vehicles for body repair work.
• Notify management of any additional repairs needed or any difficulties that may prevent a quality job or cause delays.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order.
• Wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirators, as recommended by manufacturers.
• Comply with all laws and regulations regarding paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials; report deviations to management.
• Cooperate with and assist other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
• Understand, stay updated on, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting body shop operations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know).
• Operate all tools and equipment safely.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Automotive experience required.
• Two years in an auto repair training program or two years of work experience in an auto body shop.

Pay

$55,000 – $110,000 yearly, highly competitive with incentives, depending on experience.
