Auto Body Technician
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality collision repairs on Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Ford, and other vehicle makes and models.
- Inspect and evaluate vehicle damage and develop repair plans in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Repair or replace damaged body panels, structural components, and related parts.
- Operate collision repair equipment, tools, and measuring systems safely and efficiently.
- Document repairs performed and materials used throughout the repair process.
- Communicate repair progress and status updates with the Body Shop Manager.
- Cook up coordination with the Parts Department to ensure timely availability of necessary parts and materials.
- Maintain productivity while meeting quality standards and repair deadlines.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous material handling and disposal requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of collision repair experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Collision repair or vocational training preferred, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle repair procedures, tools, equipment, and materials.
- Able to read and follow repair orders, estimates, and manufacturer repair procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
