Auto Body Painter Helper

Responsibilities

• Assist as an entry-level technician by performing vehicle cleaning, preparation, and surface refinishing tasks under guidance.
• Complete work orders and prepare surfaces for buffing.
• Remove imperfections and restore panels to OEM standards.
• Inspect finishes for color match and texture.
• Remove residue and support workflow by moving vehicles.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Over 1 year of experience in an auto body/paint shop or related vocational/technical program.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn automotive paint processes.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, hear, and frequently bend, kneel, crouch, and climb.
• Lifting up to 15 pounds for tools and materials.
• Perform repetitive motions with manual dexterity in a production setting.
