Auto Body Apprentice

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Aid in performing basic auto body repairs, such as dent removal, sanding, and painting.
  • Work under the supervision of experienced technicians to learn proper tool and equipment usage.
  • Participate in vehicle inspections to identify damages and develop repair plans.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete repair projects within specified timelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized work environment.

Education And/or Experience Required

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Trade/Vocational school graduates preferred
  • Some on-the-job experience is preferred
  • I-CAR Gold Class preferred

Required Skills And Abilities

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Able to visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions
  • Able to use hands efficiently in handling vehicle parts
  • Strong interest in the automotive industry
  • A desire to learn and develop technical skills
  • Basic knowledge of auto body repair techniques and tools (preferred but not required)
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment
