About the role

Autism Therapist positions at ABA Centers offer direct client support, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills, and implementing individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision. Positions are full-time and available in Tacoma, Auburn, and Puyallup, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver ABA therapy in various settings including homes, schools, communities, clinics, or other venues depending on client needs.
  • Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
  • Track progress and maintain quality by collecting, organizing, and documenting session data accurately.
  • Collaborate and communicate with BCBAs, team members, and families, participating in team meetings and ongoing training.
  • Assist with administrative and clinical support tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles).
  • Available during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.

Position-Specific Items

  • Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands-on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total).
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands-on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total).
