About the role

This temporary position involves paraprofessional work that requires the teacher assistant to assist the classroom teacher in performing a variety of tasks, including emergency plans, health-related plans/services, behavioral plans, and carrying out instructional procedures. This work is performed under the direct supervision of the teacher and/or building administrator, and/or appropriate Special Education Department administrator. The employee must interact with students, parents, and staff in a positive manner.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Ability to work under the direct supervision of the teacher, building administrator, and/or appropriate Special Education Department administrator

Duration of the assignment is dependent on program needs and availability of funding.
