About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a hardworking, observant, and mechanically inclined Authorized Inspector for the metal fabrication and pressure vessel industry. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals who prefer to work independently. Training is provided, with opportunities for a long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASME and National Board shop and field inspection services at assigned clients, including review and verification of code-required activities, implementation and applicability of the manufacturer’s written quality control system, and witnessing of all required tests.
• Monitor client quality control systems for compliance with relevant codes and requirements.
• Document all inspection activities per established policies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable sections of the ASME Code, the National Board Inspection Code, and jurisdictional requirements for the construction and repair of boilers and pressure vessels.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of applicable sections of the ASME code, the National Board code, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Continually enhance knowledge through self-study, internal training, and approved courses.

Requirements

• National Board Authorized Inspector Commission with "R" Endorsement.
• Ability to read, write, speak clearly, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to understand and interpret boiler and pressure vessel codes.
• Strong client interaction skills.
• Ability to apply industry knowledge, technical skill, and sound business practice to decision-making.
• Adherence to company policies, directives, and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of inspection results.

2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM).
