Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provides superior customer service, goes above and beyond expectations, answers product-related questions, and offers additional or alternative products and services.
• Cash-Handling: Processes customer transactions, collects cash, check, or charge payments, makes change, uses electronic scanners, weighs items, bags merchandise, and redeems food stamps and promotional coupons.
• Monitors and manages potential front-end shrink.
• Performs Customer Service Assistant duties frequently.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Work Experience: Experience in a fast-paced environment and customer service is required.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while focusing on the Customer.
  • Courteous, energetic, and helpful attitude.
  • Precision in scanning and keying; attention to detail.
  • Ability to get along with others.
• Education: Successfully complete Checker training and Alcohol Seller's training.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Function in a fast-paced, retail environment with detailed and precise tasks.
• Constantly stand, reach at waist, and perform fine motor movements.
• Occasionally walk, reach overhead, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, pivot, twist, push/pull with arms, and pinch.
• Occasionally exposed to cold, hot, loud noise, and wet conditions.
• Lift up to 35 lbs and manage items over 35 lbs by breaking them down or seeking assistance.
