About the role

Join our Audit and Assurance Services Group as a Senior Associate. You will lead engagement teams to audit financial statements for diverse clients, including non-profits, financial institutions (including SEC-registrants), employee benefit plans, manufacturing, construction, and others. This is a full-time, hybrid position with a typical workweek of 45 hours, increasing to 55-60 hours during busy season. Employees work in-office, at clients, or remotely as directed by their team, with new hires generally required to be in-office for training.

Responsibilities

  • Perform audit and assurance services, including completing audit, review, and compilation workpapers and preparing financial statements.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with firm management to update stakeholders on fieldwork status.
  • Identify and communicate accounting and taxation matters to supervisors, managers, and partners as appropriate.
  • Accurately prepare reports for management’s review using established firm policies, procedures, and templates.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships by providing exceptional service.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, both in-person and remotely.
  • Travel to client sites as assigned; out-of-town travel is less than 25% of total travel.

Requirements

  • Degree in accounting.
  • CPA or CPA Candidate.
  • 2-3 years of auditing experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.

Proficiency with CaseWare, DataSnipper, and/or IDEA is a plus.
