Job Description
The Auditor will be responsible for ongoing monitoring and training of department staff. The individual will be responsible for analyzing, verifying, and enforcing compliance with WGU policy regarding proper evaluation and business processing protocols as well as accuracy of data management. Engages in frequent contact and collaboration with the OTR Leadership group and other Academic staff as necessary to maintain high data quality standards.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Perform audits to ensure compliance of university policies and procedures.
- Attend departmental meetings to present findings.
- Provide and conduct specific training(s) as needed.
- Suggest and advise upon corrective actions/policies as identified.
- Facilitate the communication of audit results through written reports and oral presentations to management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Strong analytical, organizational, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
- Experienced in individual and group training setting.
- Exhibits integrity, ethics, self-leadership and professionalism.
- Action oriented / Problem Solving skills.
- Experienced in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Detail oriented.
- Knowledge of internal controls and audit methodology, including planning, testing, documentation, and reporting.
- Ability to interpret and apply university policies and procedures related to transcript evaluation, student records, and data management.
- Skill in producing clear audit deliverables (summaries and reports) and presenting findings to departmental leadership.
- Ability to work with student information and document management systems to validate data integrity, reconcile discrepancies, and support quality improvement.
- Moderate to expert skill level with Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or equivalent experience. Two (2) years auditing, training, or academic records experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Versed in the application of professional auditing standards. Experience using a student information system (such as Banner/PeopleSoft/Salesforce), and document imaging system (such as OnBase/Kofax). Transcript Evaluation Experience. Registrar Operations Experience. Academic Records Experience. Experience in lieu of education equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job.
