Audit Supervisor

Job Summary

A well-established public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor to lead audit engagements from planning through completion. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong public accounting experience who enjoys mentoring staff, managing multiple client engagements, and delivering high-quality audit services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise audit engagements from planning through final reporting.
• Perform risk assessments and evaluate internal controls.
• Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure engagements comply with professional auditing and accounting standards.
• Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to clients.
• Manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Mentor, train, and review the work of junior audit staff.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve audit processes and client service.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive public accounting audit experience.
• Prior experience supervising or leading audit teams.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office.
