Job Summary
A well-established public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor to lead audit engagements from planning through completion. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong public accounting experience who enjoys mentoring staff, managing multiple client engagements, and delivering high-quality audit services.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise audit engagements from planning through final reporting.
- Perform risk assessments and evaluate internal controls.
- Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure engagements comply with professional auditing and accounting standards.
- Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to clients.
- Manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Mentor, train, and review the work of junior audit staff.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve audit processes and client service.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Requirements
- Active CPA license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 4+ years of progressive public accounting audit experience.
- Prior experience supervising or leading audit teams.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting.
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office.
