Audit Senior (Or Manager)

Audit Senior / Audit Manager KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting is working with an established public accounting firm seeking an experienced Audit Senior or Audit Manager to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of client engagements, work closely with firm leadership and help develop junior accounting professionals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong public accounting background, excellent client relationship skills and experience working with a variety of financial statement engagements, including nonprofit organizations. Responsibilities Manage audit, review and other assurance engagements from planning through completion Review financial statements, workpapers and supporting documentation Ensure engagements comply with applicable accounting and auditing standards Oversee engagement timelines, budgets and client deliverables Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on accounting and audit matters Review financial reporting and provide guidance on complex accounting issues Mentor and develop junior staff while providing technical guidance Assist with nonprofit accounting matters and Form 990 reviews Identify opportunities to improve engagement efficiency and internal processes Work closely with firm leadership on client service and engagement quality Requirements Strong audit and assurance experience within public accounting Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field CPA required for the Manager level Experience managing financial statement engagements and reviewing audit workpapers Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and financial reporting Strong client communication and relationship management skills Experience supervising, mentoring or reviewing the work of junior staff Excellent organizational and project management abilities Compensation: $80K–$140K depending on experience, plus excellent benefits.
