In this role, you will manage multifaceted and complex assignments for a variety of clients and businesses while guiding other team members in the same.

Responsibilities

  • Guide other team members in the same
  • Collaborate as appropriate with AAFCPAs’ multidisciplinary team to meet clients’ evolving needs
  • Share accountability with the manager and partner in ensuring timely and accurate service delivery and optimal client satisfaction
  • Lead audit engagement teams with an emphasis on clear communication, collaboration, and flexibility
  • Ensure deliverables are provided at agreed upon timelines

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree with a concentration in accounting
  • Active pursuit of CPA
  • 3+ years of auditing experience with independent or charter schools
  • Public accounting firm experience preferred
  • A service mentality and a thorough understanding of accounting debits and credits along with audit risk areas
  • Strong time management, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills along with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently on assignments and address issues or questions with your engagement manager or partner
  • Understand full engagement management process including client expectations
  • Build relationships with client staff
  • Encourage open dialogue and ongoing team communication
  • Open to learning and practicing effective presentation skills both verbally and written
  • Learn and employ best practice supervision techniques and use team resources effectively
  • Research and propose ideas to increase innovation and efficiency
  • Identify training needs and develop team members
  • Understand risks and ensure compliance with firm policy
  • Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Pro F/X is a plus

Pay

The salary range for this position reflects a broad set of factors considered in compensation decisions, including—but not limited to—skills, experience, training, certifications, and overall business needs. The stated range has not been adjusted for geographic differentials that may apply based on the position’s location. At AAFCPAs, it is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions are based on each candidate’s specific background and circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role is $89,000 – $ 104,000 per year not inclusive of bonus potential.
