Audit Senior Associate | Employee Benefit Plans

About the Role

Complete all aspects of Employee Benefit Plan audit engagements for clients, including status updates to engagement managers, and adhere to quality control standards. Cultivate strong client relationships, identify and communicate audit issues, and provide exceptional service. Supervise and mentor associate staff, manage deadlines, and participate in practice development activities.

Responsibilities

• Complete Employee Benefit Plan audit engagements, adhering to quality control standards.
• Analyze and plan client engagements, demonstrating understanding of their business.
• Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters, and improvement opportunities.
• Provide exceptional client service, ensuring responsiveness and commitment to their goals.
• Adhere to engagement budgets and complete tasks within requested timeframes.
• Review associates’ auditing work and provide constructive feedback.
• Supervise associates on engagements and mentor staff.
• Assist in the client billing process as needed.
• Develop specialty knowledge of ERISA regulations and audit standards.
• Leverage industry knowledge to identify cross-serve opportunities.
• Participate in practice development activities and qualified organizations.
• Execute administrative duties and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting or related field.
• CPA candidate preferred.
• Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize assignments, and work on multiple tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in applicable technology.
• Willingness to travel based on client and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
• Experience supervising employee benefit plan audits.
