Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements for Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) clients, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulations.
- Oversee and review audit work papers, financial statements, and related reports.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor in financial matters.
- Understand clients' business objectives and provide insights to improve financial performance.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to audit teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
- Collaborate with other partners and managers to foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Identify and assess risks associated with AEC engagements, developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Ensure compliance with auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and firm policies.
- Actively participate in business development activities, including client acquisition and relationship building.
- Identify opportunities for expanding services to existing clients and pursuing new business opportunities within the AEC group.
- Maintain a commitment to quality and excellence in audit services.
- Conduct reviews of audit work papers and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to professional standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA required.
- Experience: 12+ years of extensive experience in auditing with a focus on Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) clients.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously.
