About the internship

As an intern in Crowe's Audit and Assurance practice, you will gain in-depth exposure to the auditing profession and learn about the day-to-day responsibilities of an auditor. You will receive guidance and work closely with experienced audit professionals, while also gaining exposure to issues shaping the profession today.

Responsibilities

  • Audit client financials, transactions, and internal control processes
  • Sharpen analytical skills through hands-on audit work
  • Use audit tools and technologies that leverage advanced analytics, data visualizations, and process flow automation to analyze client data
  • Work independently and collaborate with a diverse group of talented audit professionals to deliver exceptional client service
  • Work as a team member on diverse client engagements across multiple industries including manufacturing and distribution, not-for-profit, government, healthcare, education, construction, dealerships, food and agriculture, insurance, and financial institutions
  • Participate in benefit plan audits of 401(k), pension, or employee stock ownership plans
  • Take initiative and seek on-the-job learning opportunities in a collaborative team culture

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's in Accounting or similar degree
  • Must be scheduled to meet the educational requirements to obtain a CPA license (prior to starting full-time, new hires must fulfill education-related eligibility criteria for their assigned Crowe work location; requirements vary by state and it is the new hire's responsibility to ensure they satisfy applicable criteria)
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Experience with data analytics is strongly desired
  • Relevant work experience (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with professionals of all levels
  • Willingness to travel

Pay

$27.00 - $42.00 per hour
