About the role
As an Audit Associate, you’ll be part of an engagement team from day one, gaining hands-on experience serving clients in a variety of industries. You’ll help ensure our clients’ financial information is accurate, reliable, and meaningful—while developing the skills to advance your career.
Responsibilities
- Plan and perform audit procedures in accordance with established standards and firm methodology.
- Test, verify, and analyze financial data to assess accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other applicable standards.
- Review transactions, supporting documents, and operational processes to evaluate adequacy of controls and efficiency of operations.
- Prepare clear, well-organized workpapers, schedules, and other supporting documentation for audit findings.
- Identify potential risks, control deficiencies, or unusual transactions; discuss preliminary findings with client personnel to verify facts and obtain context.
- Recommend practical, value-added solutions to strengthen controls, improve operations, and reduce costs.
- Monitor assigned engagement tasks to ensure objectives, timelines, and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain positive working relationships with clients.
- Travel to client sites, training, and firm events as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting or a related field.
- Eligibility to work toward CPA licensure.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and audit concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; bonus points if you’ve worked with data tools like Power BI, Alteryx, or similar.
- Clear, professional communication skills—both verbal and written.
- The ability to manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A mindset that blends accuracy with efficiency, and technical skill with people skills.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
