About the role
The Audiology Technician supports the audiologist in delivering high-quality patient care by providing both clinical and administrative assistance in a busy outpatient clinic.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for testing
- Performs hearing aid maintenance and basic repairs
- Schedules appointments
- Maintains equipment and supplies
- Ensures accurate patient registration and documentation
- Serves as a patient advocate by helping patients navigate their care, coordinating referrals, and promoting a positive patient experience
- Collaborates with the audiologist and clinic team to ensure efficient daily operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards
Requirements
- 1-2 years of Hospital admissions or physicians’ office experience preferred or 1 plus years professional work experience required
- Experience in customer service or scheduling departments in a healthcare setting highly preferred
- Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively and efficiently in a courteous and considerate manner to maintain contact with St. Peters Hospital and St. Peters Health Medical Group and their customers
- Knowledge of health care insurance and managed care preferred
- Medical terminology preferred
Qualifications
- High school education or GED preferred
- High School diploma preferred
- Experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred

- Ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, difficult situations and/or customers
- Possesses interpersonal/communication skills necessary for effective, non-judgmental, and empathetic patient care and customer relations
- Open to feedback and open to a changing environment, which requires flexibility in scheduling and department assignments
