About the role
This position is eligible for a commitment incentive of $10,000, paid over two years. UNC Hospitals Department of Audiology is seeking a full-time Clinical Audiologist to provide outpatient diagnostic audiology services across the lifespan at multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic and advanced diagnostic audiologic evaluations across the lifespan
- Conduct behavioral, physiologic, and electrophysiologic assessments as clinically indicated
- Interpret and analyze test results to develop patient-centered treatment recommendations
- Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss, communication needs, and management options
- Collaborate closely with otolaryngologists and other healthcare professionals in the evaluation and management of hearing and balance disorders
- Participate in student education and clinical training activities as appropriate
Requirements
- Education Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Audiology program
- Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed as an Audiologist by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- BLS within 3 months of hire date
- Professional Experience Requirements: Audiologist experience preferred
