Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in person, over the phone, or via email, providing knowledgeable advice on automotive parts and accessories.
- Accurately identify, locate, and order parts based on customer or technician requests, ensuring correct part numbers and specifications.
- Process parts orders and quotes efficiently, providing customers with timely and clear information about pricing and availability.
- Maintain parts inventory by organizing, stocking, and managing parts to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Handle returns, warranty claims, and ensure the timely resolution of any part-related issues with manufacturers or suppliers.
- Provide exceptional customer service, offering alternatives and solutions to meet customer needs while enhancing satisfaction.
- Manage and track inventory levels using dealership management software, and assist in conducting regular stock checks.
- Ensure parts are properly labeled and stored, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the parts department.
- Stay updated on automotive parts trends, new products, and any changes in parts specifications.
- Assist in achieving sales targets for parts and accessories through proactive customer engagement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Parts Advisor, Parts Counterperson, or in a similar role within an automotive dealership.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, vehicle systems, and repair processes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and accurate information to customers and colleagues.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage inventory and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in using parts management software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple requests at once.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (an automotive-related qualification is a plus).
- A valid driver's license (preferred).
