About the role

Kaitlyn Larroux is a senior associate in the Tax Group at Baker Donelson in Memphis. Her practice is divided into three main areas: corporate work, estate planning, and nonprofit work.

Responsibilities

• Works with privately held businesses, drafting or revising partnership or operating agreements, adding tax provisions, reviewing compensation arrangements, and assisting on purchase or sale transactions.
• Provides tax expertise in estate planning, helping clients structure gifts, trusts, and other planning tools to reduce taxes, and drafting wills, powers of attorney, and assisting with probate.
• Forms 501(c)(3) entities, advises on ongoing compliance, and assists with nonprofit mergers, including in health care.

Qualifications

• Graduated from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Completed a master of laws (LL.M.) in taxation at New York University School of Law.
• Has experience in large and small firms, including working with the general counsel on contract management at a startup and transitioning to FedEx headquarters.
• Enjoys teaching and mentoring students, especially on LL.M. decisions and the importance of continuous learning.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
