Attorney- Trial Practice

Location: Cleveland, OH. Hybrid schedule.

About the role

Tucker Ellis LLP is seeking attorneys to join our Trial Practice in our Cleveland, Ohio office and work on complex, high‑stakes litigation matters. Due to the continued growth of our practice, we are seeking attorneys with 2–7 years of litigation experience. In this role, attorneys will gain experience in all areas of civil litigation, including hands‑on trial experience working alongside trial teams that have successfully defended Fortune 500 companies in some of the country’s most challenging venues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners on complex litigation matters.
• Assist in developing case strategy and providing client counseling.
• Participate in all stages of trial preparation, including discovery, witness preparation, and courtroom advocacy.
• Handle court appearances and argue motions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Work with fact and expert witnesses.
• Take and defend depositions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• 2–7 years of litigation experience, with a strong interest in trial practice.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience drafting motions, taking and defending depositions, and handling discovery.
• Trial experience or a demonstrated interest in trying cases.
• Admission to practice law in Ohio is required.
• Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania is a plus.

Pay

Starting salary is $190,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on factors including years of experience, qualifications, and skill set.
