Attorney

Responsibilities

• Argue motions and represent clients in family law proceedings from start to finish
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and correspondence that don't need three rounds of edits
• Run case strategy — spot the issues, map the options, pick the path to resolution
• Manage mandatory disclosure and discovery cleanly and on deadline
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with paralegals and support staff to keep matters moving

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in Florida
• 3+ years of litigation experience in family law and/or criminal law
• Live within 30 miles of our downtown St. Petersburg office
• Strong legal research and writing — comfortable in Westlaw or Lexis
• Fluent with everyday tech Microsoft Office, cloud tools, and a willingness to embrace responsible and ethical use of AI where it makes us better
• Clear communicator across every level, from client to court to teammate
• Comfortable asking questions, admitting mistakes, and owning a project from start to finish
• Critical thinker, strategic problem-solver, down for lively legal debate, and unafraid of hard conversations with clients, teammates, and your boss
