About the role

The law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least six years of experience in civil litigation. The successful candidate must be capable of handling cases throughout the entire litigation process with supervision. Experience with motion practice is essential. The position focuses on civil litigation cases.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients in your office to discuss legal issues and devise litigation strategies
• Research cases by interviewing witnesses, reading depositions, reviewing evidence, and speaking with clients to determine the best strategy for their legal matter
• Draft motions and other legal papers
• Conduct discovery
• Depose party opponents, experts, and third parties
• Attend all hearings on behalf of clients and argue in support of motions and papers
• Conduct hearings and trials as required
• Assist clients with executing settlement agreements

Requirements

• At least 6 years of civil litigation experience (preferred)
• Capable of handling cases throughout the litigation process with supervision
• Essential experience with motion practice
