Attorney

Must be admitted to the South Carolina Bar and reside in South Carolina, with preference given to candidates living in or near Columbia, Florence, or Charleston. This is a remote position, but travel is required for in-person court hearings throughout the state.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients at mediations, hearings, trials, and other duties as assigned
• Prepare and draft pleadings, correspondence, and motions
• Analyze and review complaints, motions, a variety of legal documents, and final judgments
• Conduct legal research
• Provide legal analysis for, and communicate with, clients regarding case matters
• Deliver outstanding customer service and legal representation to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• South Carolina Bar Admission required
• Other state bar admission a plus
• Minimum five years’ experience
• Experience in uncontested and contested foreclosure litigation required
• Circuit court/master in equity trial experience desirable
• Must reside in South Carolina
• Flexible schedule but must be able to work 20-25 hours per week (can work more if desired)
• This position must be the primary law firm employer
