The Property and Liability Coverage Practice Group at QPWB is composed of seasoned attorneys dedicated to assisting a diverse range of clients. The ideal candidate will provide legal counsel and analysis regarding insurance policy coverage issues, primarily in the areas of property and general liability.
- Analyze and interpret commercial and residential property and general liability insurance policies.
- Draft detailed and well-reasoned coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and declination letters.
- Advise insurers and clients on coverage obligations and potential exposure.
- Handle and manage coverage litigation from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings, including depositions and hearings.
- Stay current on relevant legal developments, case law, and regulatory changes affecting property and liability coverage.
- Collaborate with claims professionals, risk managers, and other attorneys within the firm or insurance companies.
- Participate in internal training and external client presentations on insurance coverage issues.
