Attorney

About the role

We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our Los Angeles office is looking for an Attorney to join our fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Aid clients through the unlawful detainer process
• Provide legal advice via phone and email
• Meet with and motivate staff for efficient office procedures
• Conduct legal research independently
• Draft legal correspondence, including letters, notices, and memos
• Review and draft court filings as needed
• Occasionally attend court appearances and make client presentations
• Collaborate with partners to specialize in housing law

Qualifications

• J.D. and active California Bar license
• Strong general knowledge of civil litigation
• Excellent client service skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications

• General understanding of landlord-tenant principles
• Knowledge of the litigation process and California Civil Code
• Contact with the rental housing industry
• Lexis/Westlaw experience

Schedule

The position is full-time, exempt. Business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday. We currently offer a hybrid work model. New hires will complete most of their onboarding and training in-office before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to supervisor approval.

Compensation range is $90,000 - $125,000 annually, DOE + Benefits
