Classification: ATTORNEY – Range A: $7,969.00 - $10,473.00 monthly, Range B: $8,969.00 - $12,026.00 monthly. New state employees start at the minimum of the applicable range.
About the Role
Under the direction of the Chief Counsel, Deputy Chief Counsel, or Assistant Chief Counsels, the Attorney I represents the Department of State Hospitals (DSH) at forensic and State Personnel Board proceedings, and provides legal advice to DSH on issues involving the administration of all DSH facilities.

- Represent DSH at forensic and State Personnel Board proceedings.
- Provide legal advice on the administration of DSH facilities.
Work Location
This hybrid-telework position may be located at one of the following DSH sites:
- Metropolitan State Hospital – 11401 South Bloomfield Avenue, Norwalk, CA 90650 (Los Angeles County)
- Sacramento Headquarters (Allenby Building) – 1215 O Street, MS 17, Sacramento, CA 95814
