Attending Physician- Department of Emergency Medicine
About the role
The Johns Hopkins University Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an Attending Physician for their location at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center. The role of the physician will be as a Clinical Associate within the busy and diverse department, serving Columbia, Maryland and the surrounding county.
Responsibilities
- Serving a diverse subset of diagnoses, including high acuity cases
- Working in a fast-paced emergency department with up to 60,000 patient visits annually
- Operating within a facility equipped with a triage area, green zone fast track space, separate behavioral health unit, and a 36-bed main ED space
- Engaging in a dynamic environment with a team of healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Completed residency in Emergency Medicine
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine
- Maryland license, DEA, and CDS
Qualifications
- Ready to handle a wide variety of medical cases
- Capable of managing high acuity situations
- Experienced in a fast-paced emergency department setting
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
