About the role
Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking an Attending Physician to oversee and manage the primary medical care for residents at our facilities. In this role, you will act as the primary care provider for the patients, ensuring their overall health and well-being. You will have a dedicated full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to support you, working collaboratively to provide excellent patient care. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional growth, with the potential to evolve into a Medical Director/Attending Physician leadership role for candidates interested in expanding their clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary care provider for residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), taking responsibility for their medical management
- Conduct patient rounds, collaborating with NPs and PAs to assess and manage resident care
- Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses while overseeing the management of ongoing medical conditions
- Discuss treatment plans, prognosis, and advance care planning with residents and their families
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
- Work closely with nurses, therapists, and specialists to provide comprehensive care
Requirements
- A board-certified physician with experience in primary care and long-term care (LTC)
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively support and mentor NPs and PAs in delivering care
- Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors
- Carrying a medical bag, laptop, tablet, or diagnostic equipment
- Bending, stooping, or assisting with positioning during exams
- Navigating multi-level buildings, potentially with stairs or uneven surfaces
- Lifting/moving patients
