Attending Physician

Responsibilities

• Works with the Center Medical Director to ensure clinical services achieve AlignMed Partners mission.
• Oversee implementation, utilization, and outcomes measurement of AlignMed Partners Clinical Programs and nationally accepted standards of care.
• Primary reporting relationship to AlignMed Partners Regional Medical Director.
• Accountable to Center's Administrator and Medical Director for legal and regulatory responsibilities.
• Takes full responsibility for patients admitted to their service.
• Complies with AlignMed Partners credentialing process and visit assigned patients in a timely manner.
• Complies with AlignMed Partners initiatives, "Rules and Regulations" of the Medical Staff, and "Corporate Integrity" policies.
• Assesses patients and ensures complete history and physical examination within 72 hours of admission.
• Delivers high-quality care to assigned patients and works closely with the Center Medical Director to improve care in the facility.
• Serves as a role model for other physicians and staff and helps articulate AlignMed Partners mission to the community and professional organizations.
• Helps establish appropriate relationships and coordinate transfer and care arrangements with area hospitals and other institutions.
• Demonstrates care and compassion to ensure consistent high-quality service.
• Adheres to AlignMed Partners Time Off and On Call policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. required.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred, with maintenance of certification.
• Geriatrics specialization is desirable.
