ATTENDANT, CATERING

About the role

The Catering Attendant position is available at California State University-East Bay. Applications can be submitted online at the provided address: 25800 Carlos Bee Boulevard, Hayward, CA 94542. Part-time positions are available on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with flexible hours. A food handler certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain.
• Arranges tables and decorations for catered functions.
• Serves food and beverages to guests, ensuring cleanliness and order.
• Cleans event areas after events and returns leftover food and equipment to the catering facility.
• Distributes and collects customer comment cards for catered functions.
• Stocks, cleans, and maintains catering facilities and equipment.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Follows safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of catering experience.
• A valid driver's license may be required.
• A food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit may be required, depending on state law.

Pay

$20.00 per hour to $22.00 per hour.

Schedule

Part time schedule; Tuesday and Saturday, hours may vary. Morning shifts with some evenings.
