Job Summary
The Bates Lab is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to measure and analyze emissions of volatile organic compounds from agriculture during the NASA FarmFlux campaign.
Responsibilities
- Carry out research tasks related to the measurement and analysis of volatile organic compounds during NASA's FarmFlux campaign.
- Prepare, set up, and calibrate the NOAA CSL LToF-PTR-MS.
- Operate the instrument for the FarmFlux large aircraft deployments.
- Data processing and analysis during and after the deployment, including calculation of eddy covariance fluxes from measured concentrations.
- Participation in FarmFlux science team meetings.
- Dissemination of results to the scientific community through publications and conference presentations.

What We Require
- Ph.D. in atmospheric chemistry or a closely related field.
- Prior experience with airborne field deployments for atmospheric measurements.
