Atmosphere Heat Treat Operator, Night Shift

About the role

Current opening on night shift. All shifts are 12 hours on a 2-2-3 schedule (work two days, have two days off, work three days). Night shift hours: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. Training may take place on the day shift. Hours can fluctuate depending on customer requirements and training needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate atmosphere heat treat equipment
• Read recipes and work instructions
• Follow established machine settings and parameters
• Perform lock-out tag-out on equipment
• Perform hardness inspections using Rockwell hardness testers and grinders
• Close orders in computer system
• Perform 5S activities within the cell
• Assist in training full-time, part-time, and temporary associates in the department

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• Ability to perform essential job duties or ability to learn the duties
• Ability to work in a hot environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend/twist regularly
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Prior experience working with heat treat equipment is preferred
