ATL Fintech Licensing Management Staff Attorney
About the role
Paul Hastings’ Fintech team is seeking to hire a Staff Attorney to work with the licensing management group on a 1-year assignment, with the option to extend if business needs require.
Ideal candidates will have 6-10 years of regulatory licensing experience in the payments and lending spaces, including with respect to de novo licensing, changes of control, ongoing regulatory reporting and compliance at both federal and state levels. The Fintech Licensing Management Group’s clients include emerging and high-growth companies, public companies and boards, traditional financial institutions and investors.
This role requires a strong attention to detail, and candidates must be admitted to and be in good standing with the Georgia Bar. This position will be based in Atlanta, Georgia and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office, located in Midtown.
Responsibilities
The Staff Attorney will work with the licensing management group on a 1-year assignment, with the option to extend if business needs require. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with de novo licensing processes
- Handling changes of control
- Ensuring ongoing regulatory reporting and compliance at both federal and state levels
- Working with clients including emerging and high-growth companies, public companies and boards, traditional financial institutions and investors
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- 6-10 years of regulatory licensing experience in the payments and lending spaces
- Admission to and good standing with the Georgia Bar
- Strong attention to detail
- Based in Atlanta, Georgia with a minimum of three days per week in the office

Benefits
The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $200,000 and a maximum of $250,000 (annually). The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
