Athletics Multimedia and Production Intern

About the role

The Brown Multimedia and Production Intern is a part-time, seasonal/intermittent role located in Providence, Rhode Island. The position is a member of the Ivy League's intercollegiate athletics program, which includes 34 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operation of production equipment (tripods, cameras, cabling, graphics, 3Play, Tricaster, Audio).
• Tear down and organization of equipment after the event.
• Research and study for assigned broadcasts each week.
• Aid with content efforts regarding post-production video editing projects, creating original content for Brown Athletics social media pages and for broadcasts.
• Perform additional duties and assist with other projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Interest in collegiate athletics, athletic administration, or sports production and broadcasting.
• Background in broadcast production and/or video editing.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma/GED.
• Skills: Interest in collegiate athletics, athletic administration, or sports production and broadcasting; background in broadcast production and/or video editing; familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere; strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills; ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask; ability to work nights and weekends; willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
